Showing the entrance to a bunker, key location for surviving the zombie apocalypse.

It hasn’t been too long since our team released Dev Blog #7, however, we have not been idle! On the contrary, the dedicated ZSGO team has expended extensive effort, working hard to bring new key apocalypse locations to life. Our team is unwavering in our commitment to leaving no stone unturned!

In continuation of our seventh Development Blog, the game has undergone significant changes, with several compelling additions. Additionally, we can promise there are more exciting updates on the horizon.

As of now, it is our pleasure to introduce you to the newly added points of interest. As you may be aware, we present you with sneak peeks of these locations with a little information surrounding them.

Apocalypse Prep Bunker

This apocalypse prep bunker was constructed with doomsday right around the corner. Knowing how unsafe the cities would be, a smart survivor decided to deal with the problem on his own. Why live on the dangerous land when he could live underneath it, safe and cozy?

This underground structure provides a safe and secure space for shelter in case of a catastrophic event was to come. At one point, everyone thought he was crazy, but now they fight to live in it.

The bunker comes with many different nooks and crannies to explore, however, getting in may not be so easy. Make sure not to get lost down there!

Set in a swampy environment, a good trader camp would be a valuable resource for players looking to trade, rest, and resupply. The camp would be strategically located in the mountains, where it would be difficult for zombies to reach. Furthermore, the terrain offers natural barriers and defense against hostile players.

The fellow camp survivors maintain the camp’s infrastructure, repairing any damages, and ensuring the camp remains safe and secure.

The benefits of this POI include a place to exchange goods, access food, and treat injuries and illnesses. Even a weapons and ammunition storage area for players to arm themselves against zombie attacks. Make sure to stay on their good side!

Bad Trader Compound

On the contrary, a bad trader compound is a dangerous key apocalypse location, full of traps, fortifications, and armed guards. The compound is likely to be located in a remote and inaccessible area, making it difficult for other players to locate and attack.

The compound would be surrounded by high walls and barbed wire fences, with strategically placed guard towers and security cameras to monitor the surrounding area for threats. The entrance to the compound would be heavily fortified, with gates that can only be opened by a select few individuals, and multiple layers of defense to prevent unauthorized access.

Overall, the compound would be a place to be avoided at all costs, as traders would have little chance of survival against the well-armed and well-prepared bad trader and his gang of mercenaries. Only the most desperate and foolhardy players would dare to venture into this dangerous and unforgiving environment. Unless you can offer up something to convince them.

And that’s all for the new key apocalypse locations. If you want to know more about the game, you can always check our website and our previous dev blogs. Howdy survivors!
I'm Dev Ear and I mainly handle the gameplay loop, web development, and Discord! I have also been surviving online FPS games for 10+ years. I have probably briefly touched every survival fps game you can think of.
The current survival fps drought means that it’s time for our team to step in and create what everyone has been waiting for!
Besides game development, I like making music and every now and then touching some grass. Since release, it's been nothing but ZSGO however. Can't wait to see what the game evolves into!
See you all in ZSGO!
