Dev Blog #11: Kickstarter is LIVE! | Zombie Survival Game Online

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another development blog for ZSGO! In this blog we’ll catch you up on everything that’s been happening. Just like we promised in Dev Blog #10, our Kickstarter campaign is finally live! The rewards are fantastic and we are looking forward to taking action on the plans with funding!

As of now, the Kickstarter has been live for 8 days and we have raised over $1000 already! Thank you to everybody who has contributed so far and we will be sure to start going through the rewards soon. The deadline for the campaign is Sat, July 29 2023 12:28 PM EDT. Once this cutoff arrives the opportunity for the rewards will also expire, so be sure to get in while you can!

Rewards for supporting

There are many rewards that come from supporting the Kickstarter. No matter if you are a Frugal Fighter or an Ultimate Survivor, you are sure to love what we have in store to thank you for your support.

Of course, every reward comes with Steam keys and Closed Alpha access keys. The higher you go up the tier list, however, the crazier the rewards! For example, the Highway Hero tier allows you to name any in-game road or street! And if you’re a high roller, the Ultimate Survivor package allows you to not only develop a character with the Dev team, but we will also have lore surrounding this character!

The rewards are not only digital, we also offer different physical items. From mousepads to a pair of socks we will make sure you’re gaming setup and fit are going to be fresh! Again, thank you to EVERYONE who supports and we can’t wait to start getting these rewards out to y’all!

Plans With Funding

Our funding is sure to all be used up, as we got everything already planned out! Everything from servers to music will get a piece of the pie.

Our most significant slice is dedicated to development. This is because we have many ideas which require many hours to implement. We are confident that this decision is best for ZSGO and the players will love what is in store! Our development timeline for the next 2 years is laid out below. This is subject to change and will be expediated if the Kickstarter campaign is successful!

In Conclusion

This journey is all coming together and we have high hopes for the future of ZSGO. This is our passion project and we will continue to work towards producing a great game no matter if our Kickstarter campaign is successful or not. Hopefully, this update helped you better understand our Kickstarter, its rewards, and the plans we have in store for the future.

I'm Dev Ear and I mainly handle the gameplay loop, web development, and Discord! I have also been surviving online FPS games for 10+ years. I have probably briefly touched every survival fps game you can think of.

The current survival fps drought means that it’s time for our team to step in and create what everyone has been waiting for!
